SILVER vs COPPER — HUGE GAP NOW — WILL SILVER CATCH UP?

For those who couldn’t see the inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the silver chart this time, I brought the image below and enlarged it so you can see it more clearly.

I couldn’t really see the inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the chart above either, so I drew some lines in the background.

If the head-and-shoulders pattern becomes reality… there’s about a 25% chance that silver could move in the direction indicated by the red arrow.

On the chart, I created three mountains going downward… and then another three going upward.

You build them one by one… and it takes about a month.

It kept bouncing around like that, from around $66.60…

It really wore me out.

So these days I’ve been doing pretty well on my own…

But there’s a friend who’s popular in the factory district, so I brought him here especially for you.

He’s a silver expert.

You can just follow him around…

When gold is doing well… when interest rates are falling… when the dollar is weak… just follow him.

Copper is like an old neighborhood tough guy.

But lately, I haven’t been feeling well… my stomach hurts…

Anyway, I just keep working hard on marketing… doing the same thing over and over… and that’s basically it.

Why Silver Is Different

Actually… everyone knows silver.

Half of it goes to factories… and the other half goes into people’s homes.

That’s what makes it such a fascinating metal.

Gold is about 90% or more controlled by banks.

Silver is different.

Around half goes to industrial factories, while the other half is held by ordinary people.

There are companies that try to prove the existence of physical silver on futures exchanges.

Shanghai has restricted personal deposits.

In some cases, major Chinese companies have been told not to withdraw silver.

There are also restrictions on exports.

And silver is continuing to disappear from exchanges.

This is starting to look like a situation where major institutions—or some kind of united force—may eventually have to step in and buy.

It’s similar to what happened with Bitcoin last year.

At some point, it may require someone to step in and absorb the supply.

My friend is extremely knowledgeable about this market.

He has studied economics, supply and demand, charts, politics, history, precious metals, and mining.

He’s also a professional who can explain things in a very simple way.

Anyway… I’ll bring him here.

He’s currently flying around somewhere. Haha.

The Day I First Really Noticed Silver

Do you know this guy?

He’s a big silver bar that once flew past me in a factory district.

It was so huge that it looked almost like a baby.

After that, I just kept going through my everyday life.

Then I was working at a factory in Fukuoka when a friend suddenly asked me:

“Do you know silver?”

For a moment, I couldn’t remember.

Silver… silver…

Ah, right. That silver.

That’s how I started looking into it seriously.

Originally, I wasn’t particularly interested in commodities.

But these days, this is no ordinary market.

A friend from Singapore told me silver was good.

Silver was around $21 at the time.

I just let it pass.

Later, I learned that silver really does exist as an investment market…

and that even after learning about it, you can still miss the opportunity.

That’s what actually happened to me. Haha.

Silver Broke Out

Then one day, silver suddenly broke through the ceiling.

It hit a new high.

In January, it reached around $6.65 on the chart I was watching.

Now it’s around $6.70.

Previously, it had gone as high as around $6.90.

Copper went to a new high, but silver didn’t follow it.

At the time, I wondered why.

Looking back now, that period wasn’t really a clear bull market.

And it didn’t last very long.

Last year wasn’t easy either.

Then 2026 arrived.

Anyway…

If copper is making new highs, shouldn’t silver eventually come along too?

Silver is showing a crazy-looking pattern right now…

If it gets some momentum, it could be fun to watch.

So I’m looking forward to it.

You can see the change in the chart below.

Copper vs. Silver

Let me keep this simple.

The copper-colored line is copper.

The silver-colored line is silver.

This chart compares the two.

Someone intended this.

Right?

The gap between them has become enormous.

Unless someone has been deliberately and aggressively pushing silver down…

it’s difficult to understand how two commodities that are used in overlapping areas could show this kind of divergence.

Look at the chart right now.

Compared with the beginning of the year, silver has fallen far behind copper.

Copper is at an all-time high, while silver is roughly halfway down from its own high.

They originally moved together.

Now copper is making record highs while silver is sitting far below its previous peak.

Right now…

Half.

Half!

That gap cannot keep widening forever.

At some point, I believe they will start moving toward each other again.

And I don’t think the most likely way for that to happen is through a massive collapse in copper prices.

Why?

Because copper is an essential industrial commodity.

It comes from mining, which means its price is closely connected to labor costs, energy prices, and oil.

In an inflationary environment, I think the probability of copper simply collapsing is relatively low.

So then…

Doesn’t it feel like these two eventually have to move toward each other again?

Looking at the chart…

if that happens…

could the timing be sometime next year?

Copper, my friend…Wow. Amazing. Let’s go together!

(Of course, I’m probably never going to buy copper myself.)

What Happens If Silver Breaks Free?

Right now, I believe silver is sitting at a heavily controlled price.

If that control breaks down, we could see the kind of angle that appeared in January again.

The world is becoming incredibly complicated.

So what should we prepare?

I think there are two things.

First:

Prepare yourself mentally.

Second:

Gold or silver—whichever you prefer.

And I’m not talking about numbers displayed on a computer screen.

I’m talking about the kind of gold and silver you can actually hold in your hand.
